Travel Style: Colorado Ski Trip

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I flew out to Vail and Denver last week for a ski trip with a group of dear friends. I had not skied in Colorado before, but after last weekend I am hooked and definitely want to return! Every day we woke up to several inches of fresh snow and awesome powder days--I can't believe we were so lucky. All of that snow meant that the temperatures were very cold, and I am so glad I brought warm layers in addition to my ski gear. Today's outfit is one that I wore on Sunday, our last full day in Colorado. We left Vail after checkout, drove out to Red Rocks to see the amphitheater, and then hung out in Denver the rest of the day. What a fun town! We grabbed lunch at Park Burger and walked around Commons Park where I took the angel wings photos below. Those wings are part of a temporary art exhibit by Mexican artist Jorge Marin, and a duplicate pair currently reside in Mexico City. How cool is that? There was still snow on the ground, so I stayed warm by layering my Burberry down puffer coat and Sorel snow boots over a denim shirt, leggingslariat choker necklace, and mirrored aviators. Please scroll through for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for cozy pieces worthy of your own winter weekend getaway.
