Military Jacket

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! It was gloomy and rainy here in Seattle, making it a good weekend to sleep in, clean the house, and cook comfort food dishes like fresh pasta with roasted veggies and French-style lamb stew. Saturday I ran errands in this casual outfit made up of some of my wardrobe staples and a new favorite piece: this Madewell military jacket. Military jackets are a spring staple, and I just purchased this one using a Nordstrom gift card that I received as a Christmas gift. I debated between the extra small and the small but settled on the small to allow room for layering. What I like about this jacket is its thick cotton weight that should wear well, its flattering drawstring waist, and its extra pockets (two side pockets plus a patch pocket and a zip pocket that is perfect for your keys or phone). In today's outfit, I layered this Madewell military jacket over a favorite striped hoodiebasic black leggings, and over the knee boots. My favorite fedora covered up messy hair and a bucket bag held all of my essentials.
