Restaurant Review: Le Bernardin, New York, NY

Today is a "throwback Thursday" post, because it has taken me roughly two months to share the amazing meal we enjoyed at Le Bernardin, Chef Eric Ripert's three star Michelin awarded French seafood restaurant in Midtown Manhattan.  Those of you who follow me on Instagram already know that I flew to NYC for a long weekend with a group of fabulous friends in the middle of December, and that we ate and drank our way around the city.  I had always wanted to visit Manhattan during the holiday season, and we had the opportunity to experience the NYC holiday spirit complete with a snowstorm!  Some of our party also went to the Seahawks-Giants game, but for us the main coordinated effort of the weekend was dinner at Le Bernardin.  We had a large group of nine people, so we decided that the entire table would order the seven course chef's tasting menu, and then we supplemented the meal with a few additional dishes.  All courses were exceptional, and choosing a favorite would be very difficult.  Take a look at the descriptions below, and see what you think looks and sounds the best!

My handsome date and I ready for the fantastic meal ahead!  I am the luckiest.

And finally, assorted dessert bites to finish the meal.  Looking at the photos again reminds me of the flavors and textures that made this meal exceptional.  I hope you enjoyed this photo tour of our seven course chef's tasting menu, and that it inspires you to try new dishes and restaurants when the opportunity arises.  If you are interested, you can check out the current menu here:
